When are you available?
My availability varies, but an up to date list is on the ‘availability‘ menu.
Where does tuition take place?
Usually at my home in Exeter, though I can come to you if that’s more convenient.
I teach in the front room, where there is room for parents to sit.
How much will it cost?
Lessons cost £30 an hour. I also charge at half this rate to travel to your home.
Do I have to attend every week?
Usually students come for a regular, weekly one hour lesson, following the school term.
Will I be charged if I cancel a lesson?
I would always prefer to rearrange rather than cancel lessons. I ask for a half term’s payment in advance, and if a student either doesn’t attend, or gives very short notice (less than a day), then I do charge for this. However, most of the time I try to be flexible, and of course am sympathetic in the cases of real emergencies.
Can you travel to my home?
I can travel to your house, and I charge at half my hourly rate for my travel time (i.e. £15.00 per hour).
Do you work at weekends?

Do you tutor online?
Usually I prefer to teach in person but occassionally I teach via Skype, Zoom or Facetime if, for example, we need to rearrange a lesson and this is the easiest way to do it.
